I am a member of the Cyber Ents FTC Robotics Team 8737 in Santa Clara, California. 2014-2015 was our rookie season participating in the FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics challenge Cascade Effect.
The challenge this year was to build an 18″x18″x18″ robot to move balls, scoring points in a head-to-head sports model.

The mechanical team, of which I was a part, utilized mechan wheels to design a omnidirectional, highly-maneuverable holonomic drive,
and drawer slides to raise the balls up to five feet.
I designed and built a ball capture method with a string web activated by a servo.
Our first year achievements as a rookie team include:
- Winning Two Rockwell Collins Design Innovation Trophies
- Winning Alliance Captain in two competitions
- A Judges Award for supporting a new team
- Northern California Regional Competition Qualifier
- Top-seed after qualifying rounds in the Regional Competition
