Just found this great vintage band saw at an estate sale, doesn’t run but with a little work it should be back in working order in no time.

The first step to fixing the band was to first disassemble it, starting by removing the main part from the stand. Looking at that part it appeared to just need a good cleaning and some minor tuning tweaks luckily.

Next I removed the motor to assess the damage.

Now the real work begins on the motor, first step was to get the thing apart which proved difficult. once i got the casing and pulley off i could see
